Praying with Others
October 4, 2024, 9:00 PM
Greetings in Christ! I hope and pray you are having a good week so far.
October has arrived. It is starting to feel like fall has arrived.

Do you ever pray with others?
I am reminded today that Jesus encouraged us to get together and pray.
We are told to go and pray alone, but sometimes we are to come together and pray.
In Matthew's gospel, Jesus even says there is great power and strength in numbers when we do this! (See Matthew 18:19-20)
This year, I have been blessed by meeting regularly with a group of pastors from around Lexington and praying in the morning for our churches and our city/community.
I know it has made a positive difference in my life. I believe it has made an impact for the Kingdom as well.
So let me encourage you today to get involved with a group that will pray together. You will find it time well spent.

Last Sunday (09.29.24), was a great day at First Christian Church.
We celebrated Homecoming and our 85th Anniversary as a church.
There were nearly 120 folks in attendance. David Welsh (Franklin, TN) did an outstanding job bringing the message.
Great music was delivered by Joe Esenbock, Barbara Reed, and Beth Lindsay.
Let me say a big THANKS to everyone who helped make last Sunday a special day!

Tomorrow (Saturday, October 5th) will be another great day with our Meal Packing Event at FCC!
We'll partner with Lifeline Christian Mission, Scatter Joy Ministries, and Mission Journeys to help pack around 20,000 meals for Liberia, Africa.
Lunch (sponsored by Mission Journeys) will be at noon. The packing of meals will be from 1-4 pm. Everything will be held in FCC's Fellowship Hall!

I hope to see you tomorrow @ FCC!
If not, I hope to see you on Sunday (10.06.24) at FCC.
Bible school starts at 9:30 pm and worship will be at 10:30 am.
God bless and hope to see you soon!

In Him,
Greg H.
