Happy Friday! Greetings and I hope and pray you are having a good week so far.
Are you enjoying this nicer and warmer weather?
I am feeling a little more tired than usual today. The time change and late-night UK basketball is killing me!
What about you?
I've heard of people who have a 'foot fetish," but I think most folks are grossed out by feet. In Romans 10, however, the Apostle Paul says that feet can be BEAUTIFUL!
Romans 10:14-15: "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
What kind of feet is he talking about? He's talking about the feet that GO and take GOOD NEWS of the Gospel to those who have not heard about it.
It's hard to believe in our day of advanced technology, but there are still people who've never heard!
There are roughly 8 billion people in the world today. According to the folks at the Joshua Project, approximately 28% of the world or 2 billion have virtually zero exposure to the gospel. There is still work to be done.
You and I may not be able to go to them, but maybe they will come to you and me!
Could yours be those beautiful feet who bring the good news of Jesus?
Here's some other good news:
First, this past Sunday's CHEERFUL HEART Sunday (03.09.25) at FCC was a great success. Brother Wally Rendel brought a great message on "the Wonderful Grace of Jesus" and we had some inspirational music from the "Grace x 4" quartet.
Second, we finished collecting the CCLN Church Health surveys. We had an incredible 72 people complete surveys. This data will be a very helpful tool for our church to start (and stay) working right. I say a big THANKS to everyone who helped.
Finally, I'll be starting a new sermon series this coming Sunday (03.16.25) called "ONE WEEK that Changed the World." We will be looking at some of the major events that took place during Jesus' last week on earth, leading up to the Cross. These messages will lead us to Resurrection Sunday (EASTER) on April 20, 2025. That's just FIVE WEEKS AWAY!
Thank you, once again, for your friendship and encouragement as we serve the Lord together!
God bless,Greg H.
