Outreach/Service Ministry

Greg Herriford

OUTREACH MINISTRY TEAM - Partnering with Christ to love, serve, and heal the broken, hurting, and hopeless in our community.

John Stott - from his book "The Living Church"Jesus wants neither the ingrown “religious club” nor the “secular mission (or religion-less Christianity); he wants an “incarnational Christianity” that’s mindful of the church’s “double identity” - we’re called simultaneously out of the world and into the world."

The purpose of this ministry team is to develop ministries, projects and programs that engage people in service, building Kingdom-vision. Current ministries include quarterly Community Outreach Events and Thanksgiving/Christmas Baskets.

Those churches were: host Central Christian Church (Cynthiana, KY), First Christian Church (Lexington, KY) and Crooked Creek Christian Church (Irvine, KY). Volunteers packed just over 14,400 meals that will go through Lifeline Christian Mission directly to recent earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. FCC had 19 folks present!
