Changing from the "Inside Out"
February 27, 2026, 9:00 PM
Greetings in Christ! I pray the week has gone well for you.

When Jesus comes into our lives, there should be a change. The change begins on the inside - the heart.
God is not so concerned with outward appearance as with the heart. Jesus said in Mark 7:21-23 (NASB): "For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, [22] deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. [23] All these evil things come from within and defile the person."
When someone comes to Jesus, repents, and is baptized into Him, they are literally given a "new heart."
We were privileged to witness this last Sunday at FCC. We had THREE people baptized into Christ. We say congratulations to Philip Herald, Tessa Jones, and Alicia Koester!

When that change takes place, people are going to notice. I'm reminded of Moses and how his face literally would "glow" after he had been in the presence of the Lord. Exodus 34:29 says, "When Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai, he did not know that the skin of his face shone because he spoke with Him (the Lord)."
I pray that people will be able to tell a difference in our lives from being with the Lord. Help us, Lord, to reflect Your glory and the world around us through a cheerful attitude and disposition!
In fact, a cheerful heart is a precious thing to have. In God's word, a cheerful heart is described as good medicine (Proverbs 17:31).
A cheerful heart leads to a joyful demeanor. Proverbs 15:13 says, "A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, but when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken." This joy and happiness can positively influence your interactions with others.
Hopefully, people will see the joy that we have in our hearts, and they will want to know "how to get some of that."
And speaking of a CHEERFUL HEART...
This coming Sunday, March 1st, we will have our 2nd annual "CHEERFUL HEART" Sunday. We have special music provided by "His Heart Quartet." If you would like to learn more about this group, visit their website at www.hisheartquartet.com.

Please plan to be at FCC this Sunday, March 1st, and bring some friends with you!
Have a great weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon!

God Bless,
Greg Herriford
