Don't Give Up!
April 4, 2025, 5:00 PM
Greetings in Christ! I pray you've had a good new week.
We're having a lot of rain here in Central KY, and it sounds as if it will continue throughout the weekend. I pray that everyone will be safe!

Recently, several of our church members have been dealing with various health issues.
We are continuing to keep them in prayer. However, we should also encourage them as our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our journeys of faith are not a SPRINT, but a MARATHON instead.
Let us not grow weary and discouraged. Let's not throw in the towel and quit!
God is faithful. He does not lie, and He does not forget us.
He has a watchful eye on His children. In due time, we will be blessed. We can trust God in that!
If you are feeling discouraged today, I pray you will hang on and look to the Lord for strength, trusting His promises to His children.

The author of Hebrews encourages us to keep meeting together as believers -- the church -- as we encourage one another to keep living by faith.
Listen to Hebrews 10:23-25"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Church attendance is at an all-time low in America. However, we would be wise to continue to heed the advice found in this scripture. Here is a fact: We need the Lord, AND we need each other. He is our Lord, and we are His people!

One final thing: Easter is only a few weeks away, and we're looking forward to celebrating the Lord's resurrection on Sunday, April 20th, at First Christian Church.
The day prior (Saturday, April 19th) we are planning on having an Egg Hunt at FCC from 10:30 am-12:30 pm.
We need some help! We need some individually wrapped candies for the Eggs. If you can help, please drop them off in the Blue Barrels located in the church foyer. THANKS in advance!

I pray you have a good weekend. Be safe and hope to see you Sunday!

In Him,
Greg H.
