Fill My Cup, Lord
March 21, 2025, 12:00 PM
Greetings and I hope and pray you have had a good week.
Have you noticed there are some people who seem to lift you up when you see them and interact with them? You feel as if they "fill your cup" with encouragement.
On the flip side, there are those folks who drain us. They leave our cups empty. Some can even leave us wanting to throw our cups against a wall!
The Apostle Paul ends the book of Romans talking about the possibility of visiting the believers in Rome where he will be "refreshed" by being with them.
In Romans 15:31-32, Paul says, "Pray that I may be kept safe from the unbelievers in Judea and that the contribution I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the Lord’s people there, so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed."

I pray that you and I are people who refresh others. My prayer is that people will be "filled" with good by being around us. May they see Christ in us and through us!
After all, it is in Christ that we receive the ultimate refreshing and encouragement. Because of Jesus, we can even approach our heavenly Father in a relationship. Now that is truly refreshing!
When we miss assembling together for public worship, we miss out on the community of believers. We miss the opportunity to be refreshed and encouraged by others and for us to be the refresher and encouragement to others! Don't miss these opportunities!

Speaking of opportunities to worship together, we are only a month away from Easter/Resurrection Sunday on April 20th.
I've started a new series of sermons on Sunday mornings at FCC called, "One Week that Changed the World."
In these messages, we are taking a closer look at the Passion Week, taking us up to Easter and the Empty Tomb.
This coming Sunday (03.23.25), we'll be looking at the TUESDAY of the Passion Week, focusing on Jesus' teaching on the Mount of Olives.
I hope and pray you'll be with us this Sunday at FCC! Bible School is at 9:30 am and Worship at 10:30 am.

In Him,
Greg H.
