In the End, We Will Win!
June 5, 2026, 3:00 PM
Greetings in Christ! I pray you are enjoying a good week so far.
June has arrived and summer is right around the corner.

You may be facing great opposition today from the world. That's quite normal. We all do.
I've found that, any time we are trying to do something good, evil forces will be right there wanting to stop us!
And, sometimes, if we're honest, we may feel so inadequate that we run away from the challenges.
After all, we live in times where evil seems to be winning -- just take a look around the world today!
God, however, is always in control. No matter what appears to be taking place, however, God WILL triumph and crush the enemy, Satan.
David saw this coming in advance and spoke of this in the Psalms. He writes in Psalms 68:21, "Surely God will crush the heads of his enemies, the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins."
In fact, we can go way back to the first prophecy found in Scripture involving this very subject.
God said to the deceiving serpent in Genesis 3:14-15"Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
This would eventually come to fruition on the cross! As Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
Jesus' body was struck, but by His death, He took on our sins and "crushed" Satan! Jesus said in John 16:33"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Are you in a dark place today? Are you worried or feeling defeated? Take comfort in knowing that no matter what it looks like today, in the end, WE will WINOur Heavenly Father specializes in taking what looks like a catastrophe and turning it into victory!

This coming Sunday (06.07.26), we will continue in our sermon series on the Godly Wisdom found in the book of Proverbs.
This question may come up sometime: Does the Bible talk about WEALTH and MONEY? BTW: The answer is YES!
Among the topics in the book of Proverbs, Solomon talks a lot about money and how people handle it. If anyone could speak about handling wealth, it would be Solomon - he had a lot!
In addition, Jesus talked more about money during His 3 years of ministry than any other subject. Jesus knew this would be tough for man to maintain a healthy relationship to money and wealth!
I hope and pray we'll see you First Christian Church this Sunday. We'll be talking about how we can honor God by properly handling money and wealth!
Until then...

God Bless,
Greg Herriford
