Keep On Praising the Lord!
October 10, 2025, 9:00 AM
Hello and greetings in Christ on this fine Friday.
I pray you have enjoyed a good week so far.

It has been a very difficult stretch for us at the church over the past few months. We've had a lot of health challenges and deaths in the church family.
Despite this, though, we can (and should still) praise the Lord! We should praise him both in the sunshine and in the rain. Why?

Read the 100th Psalm today. That will tell you why. This short Psalm gives some beautiful words to hold close. In fact, here it is...
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Again, why should we praise the Lord?
#1 - God is good. All the time. He defines what goodness is.
#2 - God is love. The word used in this 100th Psalm, verse 5, is the Hebrew word "hesed." The word used as "love" is given as a characteristic of God over 100 times in the Psalms.
#3 - Last, but not least, God is described as faithful. No generation has ever known God to be unfaithful. Even though we are NOT, God IS faithful.
God is GOOD; God is LOVE; God is FAITHFUL !!!
That, friends, is something to be truly THANKFUL for!

This coming Sunday, October 12th, I will continue in our new sermon series called “IDENTITY CRISIS.” We will be discussing the church and what it truly is and is not. I THANK my friend Mike Barlett for coming down from Indiana and kicking off the series last week with a great message on the church as the family of God.
Also on Sunday, October 12th, we will be having our first-ever FALL FESTIVAL. This event will take place from 2:30-4:30 pm at the church. There will be snacks and drinks along with carnival-type games for the entire family! It's going to be a lot of fun! Please invite some folks and come out on Sunday afternoon after church service.

Until then...

God Bless,
Greg H.
