Greetings in Christ!
I pray you have enjoyed a good week.
We often think about how "bad things are in our present world." However, we should note that we have many advantages that past generations did not have.
As Christ followers living under the New Covenant, we are to have the inspired and revealed Word of God at our fingertips. In addition, we live in an era where God has poured out His Holy Spirit on His people.
In Old Testament times, people did not have the same access to God that we enjoy today.
The Temple in Jerusalem played a significant role in the worship of God, as it was the place where God dwelt.
Today, we Christians enjoy accessibility to God the Father through Jesus the Son.
John's Gospel says that, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us" (John 1:14).
Jesus came and dwelt among us humans. He bridged the gulf caused by human sin and made a way for mankind to be right with God.
We can praise God for bridging the separation caused by our sin and making a way for us to God the Father.
Therefore, since we have been ENTRUSTED with such great blessings, we have a great responsibility.
What is that responsibility? We called to take the message of Jesus to anyone and everyone; the worst of sinners, the poorest of people, those we don’t like, and those who seem least likely to listen.
Some may think it's an option, but it is a mandate. When Jesus gave the Great Commission, it was for ALL believers to GO and take the Gospel to the Ends of the Earth. The question is: Have you accepted your assignment and joined Jesus on Mission?
You've been provided with all the tools you need!
Around the Church: Our FCC Fall Festival was originally scheduled for this Sunday, September 21st (2:30-4:30 pm).
However, after talking with some of the Fall Festival Planning Team, the consensus was to push the event back a few weeks to Sunday, October 12th, or Sunday, October 19th. Please stay tuned, and we will have a new date for everyone very soon.
This coming Sunday (09.21.25), I will continue the sermon series in the book of Jude. The message is entitled, "Are you on the Right Team?"
I look forward to it and, hopefully, to seeing you there!
Until then, I pray God's best blessings for you and your family!
In Him,
Greg H.
