The Wow Factor
March 27, 2026, 1:00 PM
Hello, and I pray you've had a good week!
Yesterday (03.26.26) was the opening day of the baseball season in Cincinnati. It's always a festive day in the Queen City, even if the Reds aren't very good. To me, it marks the arrival of a new season in many ways -- both baseball and seasonal. The beginning of the baseball season also coincides with the start of spring. And the arrival of spring is always a grand time!

God's creation is magnificent and mind blowing! Just this week, I read in my daily devotions from Nicky Gumbel this incredible fact: "There are over 25,000 varieties of orchids. The orchid is just one of 270,000 species of flowers." WOW!
It's a shame that we live in a modern, non-agricultural world and we hardly notice the natural world anymore.
However, if we slow down and look up and around, we can see God's handiwork! Listen to what the Psalmist said in Psalms 19:1"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
My prayer is that we would all pause this spring and take some time to reflect on God's greatness and goodness!

As the weather starts warming up, the grass, plants, and flowers start to grow. Things feel ALIVE again!
Spring reminds us of things around us "coming back to life." That is what makes Easter so special. We celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the grave and the hope we have of overcoming death because of Him!
Easter at FCC is just around the corner. Here is the schedule of what will be taking place...

Friday, April 3rd -- Good Friday Service @ Pine Meadows Post Acute facility (10:30 am)

Saturday, April 4th -- Children’s Egg Hunt on FCC's grounds (1 pm)

Sunday, April 5th -- Breakfast in FCC Fellowship Hall (9:30 am) & Worship (10:30 am)

We also have several exciting and important things taking place this coming weekend.
On Saturday, March 28th, we will be offering our first-ever New Believers/Members Class -- "FCC 101."
The class will be held in the Fellowship Hall starting at 9:30 am, lasting a couple of hours.  The class will cover some basic things about the church, what we believe and why, and how to get involved at FCC. Please let me know if you can attend.
And, finally, on Sunday, March 29th, I'll wrap up our series of messages, "Miracles of the Messiah." The sermon will be about Jesus raising His good friend Lazarus from the dead.

Hope to see you soon!

God Bless,
Greg Herriford
