Greetings in Christ on this hot and sticky summer week!
It's been a good, but wild and crazy week with Vacation Bible School here at First Christian Church.
We had a kickoff on Saturday afternoon (06.21.25). We then had VBS each night from Monday (06.23.25) through Thursday (06.26.25).
We did not have HUGE NUMBERS, but were thrilled to have had 10-12 kids and 25-30 adults each night.
Remember, however, this is our first VBS here at FCC since summer 2019 -- 6 years ago!
It's been hard work, but well worth it. We've had a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to plant some good seeds into the hearts of some kids and parents!
That is very important. Remember what Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he grows older he will not abandon it."
Please continue to pray for the seeds sown and contacts made this week!
I also say a BIG THANKS to all the volunteers who helped this week!
I'm looking forward to this coming Sunday, June 29th at FCC.
We will continue in our sermon series looking at the FAMILY, called "Ancient Values for Modern Families."
Have you ever been driving around and said, “I wonder if that house is as nice on the inside as it is on the outside?”
People put A LOT of work and money into making a house look good.
In fact, I would say that most people spend far more time working on the outside of their house than they do working on the relationships inside.
God, however, is much more concerned with the people that live inside.
This Sunday's message is from Ephesians 6:1-4 and is called "Turning a House into a Home."
Also during our 10:30 morning worship, we will recognize our three recent college graduates, two new born babies, and several of the children from VBS!
It's going to be a great day. May God Bless and hope to see you Sunday!
In Him,
Greg H.
